Almost certainly me, harking back to my days as a drugstore cowboy in the early seventies. You have to bear in mind that when you rob a British pharmacy, a typical haul might be: 1 oz diamorphine. 1 oz Cocaine freebase 15 grams cocaine 15 grams morphine hydrochloride 20 grams morphine sulphate Assorted heroin ampoules and tablets Assorted methadone ampoules and tablets 2 litres tincture of opium 400 diconal. 200 pethidine (demoral) 2 litres methadone linctus 1 litre diamorphine linctus 100 Narphen 100 Omnopon 200 MST Continuos 1000 Dexadrine 1000 Drinamyl 500 Duraphet 200 Dex spansules Plus the barbs and the benzos (I used to leave that shit behind) and other weird odds and sods. (I remember once finding some pills that were a combination of Yohimbine and Strychinine and were used for treating impotence - small silver covered balls) So you have to take into account that when you have every drug you could possibly imagine, demorol slides down the list. I now think drugs like that are an acquired taste. At one time, I used to wash out my works with methadone ampoules rather than bother to walk to the tap. Now, I might even prefer them to smack for their holding power. You get used to the taste, the high, etc. Those were the days.... ==================================================================== From: an467193@anon.penet.fi ((Houdini)) Subject: Morphine (Blues), (ENDO) Date: 1995/12/15 reply-to: an467193@anon.pinet.fi newsgroups: alt.drugs.hard >Now if you want to talk about pins and needles the old blues are it.Way back >in the 70's they were the pharmacuetical's the drug store cowboys went after. >Does any body have any good nu morphine stories? >A Disket a day keeps the dealer man away ! > Indeed I do. I hit a drugsrore once (somewhere around 1974) and I had so many damn "blues" I didn't know what to do with them. The drugstore was (unbeknownst to me at the time) a distribution point for a chain of drugstores. The damn safe was big enough to hold 6 grown men standing straight up. And it was UNLOCKED and it held more dope than I could carry. So I just gathered up the most important stuff and I walked out of the place with (TRUTH) a wooden crate that contained 48 boxes of 50 tablets each of 10 mg. Numorphan.Thats 2400 pills !!!! Not to mention 1200, 1/8gr. water soluble Dilaudid tablets and a lot of other stuff like Demerol, Morphine and even some (remember this stuff?) Panapons and pharmaceutical Cocaine. I got away with all of it but I was too damn scared to sell any of it in the city where I live because the city was totally dry at the time, everybody was jonesin' and I knew if I sold any of it it would be obvious as hell where it came from. So I let a drug dealer (an ex-cop as a matter of fact) hold some with the agreement that he would hold onto it for awhile before he sold any of it. As for myself, I jumpe on a plane and flew to Dallas (Texas) where I looked up an old friend or two and turned them on to some Numorphan and Dilaudid. We eventually ended up in old Mexico where I (just for the hell of it) bought an ounce of heroin which ended up being stolen by the valet at the San Antonio Hilton. But thats enough of this story for now. So let me give you a little history. I'm 45 years old, I started using IV drugs (Paregoric) when I was 13. I've been in the Army (overseas), I've spent 15 years locked up in one place or the other for one reason or the other. I've had about 22 broken bones (at last count), a couple hundred stitches here and there. Married once, had a daughter and a brother who were murdered because of drugs. And a bunch of other bad shit that I don't enen want to remember. And I have spent the last 23 years on Methadone Maintenance. And I'm almost certain that if it were not for the Meth I most likely wouldn't be here today. Enough for now.................. L8R... Once they started that DEA shit I had been out of the Biz for awhile. I use to run a Fake Dr.s office and was very successful. There were no Patients, just a hell of a lot of "D"s. In The 70's!! And even that operation got popped because of Greed. I quit a week or two before they went down.I saw it coming! Jackson On another Vien,After I quit writing scripts, I thought they Implemented that Triplicate form(Prescription)that the DEA was supposed to start in the early 80's?? Didn't it? For Schedule two Narcotics or Narcotics of Substance!? Maybe not!!Maybe just a State thing? The last Time I Busted a Script for Strong Narcotics was when Dilaudid was still fully water soluble and not color coded. They were great.Just add hot water to the rig and drop one or two in the back of the syringe and shake, hence the name "Shakers".Prior to that it was Blue Morphine that was a big hit in the Early 60's,alittle before my time. They went the way of the Quaalude.Gone Johnson! But if it's still the same old pad which is all I ever have seen even now, though I don't get scripts for Narcotics or Bust them anymore(15-20yrs.) because they will bust you and did get me eventually in "80"s!!Especially now in the Computer age. Here's what I _knew_and it may be totally off-base. With the DEA No.# it always uses an A to start and the second letter is the Dr.s last Name Initial. Then there are 7 digits that were rumored to be equal to 6 using some Super Secret algebraic formula! Can't verify that to be accurate but sounds logical.I think? And I had heard that from alot of people. But the Deal is you never just make one up. At least I never did. There was some way to tell if it was bogus. As long as you didn't get greedy there were a few drugstores that just didn't care if you had the paper for his ass. Even by the the early eighties it was nearly impossible to get even Oxycodone or Hydrcodone. You had to get creative and start using other products with the same Active Ingredient that hadn't been abused yet. Thats when Tussionex suspension came in handy. But even that had a History from years ago. Don't even try it.And you will never get anything of Substance worth the several Felonies they jack you up with. Find an "Ol Croaker that writes like a Major" as William Burroughs(Father Murphy)stated in "Drugstore Cowboy"! C-Ya, Jackson ==================================================================== From: pez@manhattan.com (Gizmo) Subject: Re: >>>DEA Numbers<<<<< Date: 1996/10/26 newsgroups: alt.drugs.hard You know I never did much script cracking, even though I was active back in the early 60's and 70's. I knew a few guys who made it their mainstay for prescription drugs. But I did have a few other interesting experiences. There was this old (75 years) doctor in Mt. Vernon, NY, that was sort of retired. He somehow got a rep for treating drug addicts. He would mainly write scripts for Methadone, but it wasn't hard to convince him to write for Morphine Sulphate. Basically all you had to was convince him that Meth didn't work for you. He would write you one or two scripts that were supposed to be used in gradually decreasing dosages. Obviously no one ever did that! And I do believe it was those Morphine Blues you mentioned. My best experience with pharmaceutical drugs was when my dad got me a summer job working in a drug store in the mid 60's. It was a supermarket. They had fucking everything. Found 2 one ounce bottles of Morphine Sulphate hypodermic cubes. They looked like sugar cubes, only they were real soft and powdered up with the slightest touch. Great stuff. Also, had the pleasure of getting over an ounce of pharmaceuatical Cocaine Hydrochloride! Best coke I ever had. Not to mention the desoxyn, biphetamines, CIBA's, Dilauded, paragoric, you name it, it was there.
