From: (PharmExist) Newsgroups: alt.drugs.hard Subject: The Dirt on MS Contin Date: Wed, 27 Oct 1999 12:19:17 -0700 Hi, I haven't posted here before due to paranoia, but now that I've been clean for 3 1/2 months, I feel safe in doing so. Although I'm not a pharmacist, I've studied on pharmacy since I was 16 years old. I spent the last two years taking Fentanyl patch and MS Contin by prescripion. The highest daily dose of MS Contin I was on was 345mg a day. MS Contin comes in the following strengths: 15mg-blue, 15 on one side, V on the other 30mg-pink, 30 on one side, V on the other 60mg-orange, 60 on one side, V on the other 100mg-gray, 100 on one side, V on the other 200mg-(can't recall color), 200 on one side, V on the other The 200mg should only be ingested if you have a very high tolerance to narcotics. Otherwise it may stop your breathing! These are time-release tablets with a plastic-like coating and a wax binder matrix inside that is not water soluable. It forms a gum if cooked up and will clog a syringe as it cools or in your veins if you manage to shoot it. The high is NOT worth the trouble. It will gum up your nose if you snort, too. SMOKIN': THE GOOD NEWS The method I used was smoking it. METHOD Preparation: Grind the tabs to a fine powder, add 1-2cc's of ispropyl alcohol (morphine is soluable in this, as is the binder) and add the tobacco from one to two cigarettes. Stir until mixed completely. Dry on a saucer with the tabacco spread evenly over it's surface. Have a stiff credit card handy. Microwave on high for 30 to 45 seconds or until dry, but not black. Remove from microwave quickly and scrape off the tobacco quickly (it will stick if you don't move fast). Finally, put it in a pipe and smoke. 4 hits off this can knock you on your butt, so wait for it to take effect before smoke more. My usual mixture was four 100mg tabs to two cigarettes of tobacco. Bear in mind that I had a huge tolerance. My quitting was the result of taking 6000mg MS in two days, combined with ninety 2mg Ativan. Blacked out and in the hospital for about 2 weeks! Aaaaargh! BE CAREFUL! Pharmexist
