A T-3 is 300 mg of acetaminophen with a little bit (30 mg) of added codeine. Not the same as a codeine phosphate tab. They sell a form of Darvon (I forget exact name) down there under the name of Neo-Percodan. It's *NOT* the same as U.S. Percodan or Percocet--but you can give it a try. From what i've seen here on USENET it's not possible (or very difficult) to get hydrocodone or oxycodone. I've never heard of levorphanol tartrate being sold there. But give it a try. The tradename is probably Dromoran. Also. A reliable friend has told me that they no longer sell Stadol (butorphanol tartrate) down there. If you don't have any tolerance to opiates, Temgesic should be good to try. The chemical name is buprenorphine, and it comes in 0.2 mg sublingual tablets. Prozac is definitely available without any problem. I don't know about Zoloft. But here's the deal for those with U.S. prescriptions. IMO. Forget about them. Don't bring your pill bottles down there and expect to fill them up at the pharmacy unless you know in advance that the Mex pills look the same as the pills sold in the U.S. Many do look different. If Customs looks at the pills and sees the trick, you just got caught smuggling and could be in deep Doo Doo. So. I say forget about the pills-in-a-jar trick. It sounds like smuggling. There is no need to smuggle. Smuggling is illegal, and U.S. Customs officers (in contrast to all of the Mexican LEOs) do not take bribes. You want to do this all legally, right? It's your first time! Better be safe than sorry!!! Leave your U.S. pills at home. You won't need them, and it might make things more complicated than they need to be. OK. You go down there and find a pharmacy that caters to gringos--hopefully in a reasonably safe neighborhood. It should be clean and well-lit, and have big neon signs in the windows saying NARCOTICS and WE SPEEK ENGLISH. #1. Find out exactly what they have in stock and see that it meets with your approval and that you have enough money. #2. Let them direct you to the Mexican doctor that they work with. #3. Go to the doc and buy the scrips, making sure it's for no more than a 90-day supply. #4. Go back to the pharmacy and make the final arrangements. Keep a copy (or, even better, the original) of the scrips. #5. Have the exact amount of cash in hand along with the scrips and have them put the drugs in a paper bag. #6. Get a taxicab to stand in front of the pharmacy making sure there are no cops standing around. Get in the cab and have them come out with the drugs. Exchange the money for the drugs and head for the border. Walk across border. #7. Declare the drugs to U.S. Customs and have them stamp the scrips with the official date stamp they have. If they enter your name and ID into the computer, then you have to wait 90 days to do it again. Otherwise, just wait for a different crew at the station or go to a different crossing. #8. Be Cool. And don't get caught selling any of your candy. It's supposed to be just for you. WD
