I think under 'sick' in the dictionary, one of the first definitions is: 'the state typically achieved by someone without a morphine tolerance after taking 50 milligrams of methadone'. Seriously, If you're a casual pill-popper and sniffer, it may be educational for you, if you can get it, to take about 50 mg. Notice how you're still retching after 36 hours? Most of all, I could appreciate the level of tolerance that must be reached by your typical 60 mg/day 'doner, (and all the hell he went through to develop that kind of superhuman tolerance). Extrapolating from LD50 data in rats, the human LD50 ends up around 1.5g. This is demonstrably inaccurate. In general, you want to stay on the safe side of 100mg for a single dose. (Not that you'll have any idea what you're taking, nor will you find 100 mg of diamorphine sitting on your breakfast plate at an English B & B.) > 6.) I don't like this needle stuff at the end. First you talk about sniffing, then your habit progresses over the course of the post. If you want to do heroin, you can do yourself one big favor by using your nose. This is difficult to determine without knowing the purity of what you are getting/using. Also, it's very difficult to say "Use X amount of powder" because how do you measure it? Can't he find someone with experience locally to show him how much to use? If not, has he ever smoked/snorted? Perhaps he could start by using 50% of the amount that he usually snorts? Whatever he does, he should: 1.) start small and work his way up to higher doses 2.) have a friend on hand to call an ambulance if he fucks up. OD's _can_ be reversed using Narcan, but you have to be able to call the ambulance. Hope this helps.
