I have not done that, but enough people have posted >that it helps to make it believable, I think. It absolutely works. It is MUCH better to taper off with codeine than percocet - 2 reasons : 1 - even when you are only taking 1 perc a few times a day, you are still taking a drug with a dependence syndrome similar to morphine. Codeine is MUCH weaker 2 - is is ALWAYS better to use a drug that wont give you much of a buzz. When you are sick, even 1 perc has a nice feeling to it. Once again, here is the schedule : Start with 60mg codeine 4 times a day. You CAN take an extra 30mg at bedtime. DO NOT take the codeine before every 6 hours. Yes, you WILL feel a bit uncomfortable before the next dose. Live with it. After 3 or 4 days, cut down the mid day doses to 30mg. You can still take the 60 morning and night. After 3 days of this, cut the morning dose to 30. 2 more days or so, and drop one of the midday doses - so now you are taking the codeine every 8 hours. You can still take 30 at bedtime. Nothing is worse when kicking than not being able to sleep, in my book. After 2 days, drop the midday dose. At this point, your habit will be almost completlely gone. You can continue to take 30mg in the morning, and 30mg at bedtime, for another week. Then, for up to 2 months, you can take the bedtime dose. Also, try to do as much *SWEATY* excercise as you can. Bike riding, running, sex, whatever. This *REALLY* helps, even if you can only manage it for 15 or 20 minutes a day. But the idea is to get really sweaty. finally, I know a few guys that took KLonipin as well, to ease the 'fear' syndrome associated with withdrawal. Also, AVOID ANY kind of chemical stimulant . Good luck.
