I was fascinated with the invention and creativity of the many different sculptors who worked in the chambers of snow at this Festival, but dismayed by the impermanence of their creations. Therefore, I took it upon myself to make recordings of the appearance of almost every one of the snow sculptures I saw (leaving out only those of truly inappropriate taste or unElanthian design.)
