Well it all started with those cloth dying dwarves
The ones with the tent by the bridge.
Their business was failing, no one dying armor, no one dying arms.
So they hired a pretty blue eyed girl,
for service as a barker...
selling dye with voice and charms.

And me I'm wandering, and I hear her call out so strong.
"Dyes here! Get yer dyes here!"

Then I caught a glimpse of her and dashed right through the throng.
Her hair of platinum, her eyes of ocean hue
Her smile so beckoning, her voice so clear
A vision of perfection...
...standing on the bridge o'er the Locksmehr.

Me I'm often lonely, all my friends have great romance...
so I have to look hard for love
a new partner for each and every dance.
I walk up to her, feeling a little plucky, feeling a little bold.
I reach out hesitantly for her hand to hold.
I look her in the eyes and I speak these words.

"Beauty, I say, beauty, you touch my soul!"
It was kind of busy that day so I really hope she heard.
Speaking louder, I said, "We are connected you see...
come dance tonight and maybe come home with me?"

And then, she pushed him off the bridge!

She yelled down at me as I was floating around the bend.
"What are you, some kind of romantic creep?
It takes thought and frienship to love.
I don't want to be swept away
I want a partner I can live with
I want a handsome man who'll stay."

After I dried off I walked right back to the bridge
I toned down the romance and we talked just me and her
I introduced myself and she introduced herself too.
When she was done shouting for the day
we even went and bought stew.
On the way back from sitting in the Garden we walked across the bridge
I asked her politely which Inn we wanted for the night...

And then, she pushed him off the bridge!

I was mad then, I stormed right up the bank.
I said, 'What was the meaning of that godawful prank?'
She blushed and looked at me and said,
'I REALLY REALLY don't like Inns.
You want to take me to a dance, take me to a room
All these things we have to do inside
I can't stand buildings I just cry and cry.'

I smiled at her and said, "That's no problem miss.
But why did you have to push me off the bridge!"

She blushed and said, 'I really want you.
But there's some things on a bridge you must not do.
I figured if I cooled your ardor it'd cool me too.'
I gazed at her she gaze at me
we were heartbeats from a kiss.

And then, she pushed him off the bridge!

...and then she jumped in after me!
