Dremerie exclaims, "Ok... NEXT!!"
Dremerie smiles as she reaches into her hat, stirring it a bit before pulling another slip out. This one being ruby-colored and folded into a small flower shape.
(Dremerie gently undoes the folds of the paper, squinting to read it.)
Naamit says, "It must be Quivalin's."
Naamit nods.
Quivalin exclaims, "They can't ALL be mine!"
Dremerie says, "Terrible caligraphy though. Too many curliques."
Dremerie exclaims, "VISTIE!!"
You see Vistie Be'Jei the Half-Elf Songsmith.
She appears to be in her 30's, has long, braided red hair, blue eyes,
and fair skin.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a fel lute in her right hand.
She is wearing a pair of emerald silk slippers, a pair of etched ruby
earrings, a silvery green spangled silk gown, a silver and ruby bracelet,
a shimmering silver scarf, a delicate rose and ivy circlet, a polished
silver armband, a leather instrument case, a butterfly charm, and a gold-tooled
spidersilk backpack.
Vistie smiles shyly and nervously glances out across the crowd, seeing the warm looks of encouragement, she garners the strength to continue.
Vistie smiles and says "I would like to dedicate my ballad, Expedition to the Elven Nation, to the members of The Ne'Din, who have all given depth and meaning to my life in Elanthia." Vistie adjusts the strap to her lute and warmly gazes at you.
With a slow lead-in, Vistie begins a gentle ballad on her lute.
Vistie sings:
"On the last day of the month Ivastaen in the year
5101
The numbers amassed as they swarmed
What drew so many to the wall
The lust for blood, the call to adventure
The allure of the unknown or
The pursuit of danger
All in search of the lost Ta'Illistim."
Vistie's easy melody loiters through the measures, washing over your senses like the waves of a gentle sea.
Vistie sings:
"The wall shimmered, danced and tantalized
With alluring visions as many awaited
To face their fears, to discover the truths
To unravel the mysteries, to forge the path
Taxing the patience for time endureth
Till the wall fell to reveal the way
All on the path to knowledge Ta'Illistim."
The tempo of Vistie's song slows slightly, taking its time to convey a message of gentleness and rest.
Vistie sings:
"Ruach and Vistie sat quietly at the well
As the masses thundered east
Thoughts in their minds were a swirl of chaos
So many deaths tortured their very souls
The perilous chasm and the viper shroud
Dark panthers and black forest ogres felled
many
All in pursuit of truth Ta'Illistim."
Vistie gives a sigh of fear.
Vistie deliberately strums an unhurried theme, letting each chord hang
in the air for a time before striking another.
Vistie sings:
"The slight halfing Apha, trembled in fear at his
plight
Lost and confused, this his first night
He sought solace from those at the well
He learned to respect this harsh and fierce
land
As we all learned of the treacherous and
Perilous trail to the Elven Nations
All as we fear Ta'Illistim."
Vistie slowly modulates through a series of chords, building a beautiful
melody.
Vistie sings:
"That esoteric night of adventure
Thoughts and concerns were for the many
Who were trudging east to seek and to explore
To sate their spirits in their quests
The flares bursting above the elven skies
To alert and signal of the many dangers
All in the quest to reach Ta'Illistim."
Vistie smiles with misty eyes, gazing east, with the look of wanderlust
struck on her face.
Vistie's easy melody loiters through the measures, washing over your
senses like the waves of a gentle sea.
Vistie sings:
"Across the river via the ferry
Through, over and under
The Dragon Spine Mountains
Tunnels, shafts and caves
Carved by the dwarven miners
Till Zul Logoth was reached
All on the trail to Ta'Illistim."
Vistie's easy melody loiters through the measures, washing over your
senses like the waves of a gentle sea.
Vistie sings:
"Traveling by mine cart
Into the depths of the mountains
Dark tunnels traversing finally emerging
High upon the mountain ridge
The small trading village
Of Zhindel's Post was reached
All revealed along the way to
Ta'Illistim."
With careful concentration, Vistie draws out a series of notes, allowing them to layer into a sweet harmony.
Vistie sings:
"The trek wearing on the spirits and souls
Many of the weaker fallen away
Winding crevasses and caves
Taxing the most hardened journeyman
Endless climbing to reach Whistler's Pass
Only to emerge to see more mountain ridges
All to tax those who seek Ta'Illistim."
Vistie slowly modulates through a series of chords, building a beautiful
melody.
Vistie sings:
"Till finally dim of sight, weary of spirit
Thine ears did not deceive
The sounds of the elves singing
To strengthen and bolster the heart
To prepare one for the city of light
Till within your sights ye see
All to reach the great walls of
Ta'Illistim."
Vistie slowly modulates through a series of chords, building a beautiful
melody.
Vistie sings:
"Kristara and Maultaz, wrapped in their love
Eyes for no others, traveled to the Elven
lands
Upon their return, the distress of others
called them
Despite the dangers, they stopped to render
aid
The sweet lass died so many times
She exhausted her supply of deeds
All in vain to explore Ta'Illistim."
Vistie deliberately strums an unhurried theme, letting each chord hang in the air for a time before striking another.
Vistie sings:
"What calls, what beseeches
So many to attempt the daring trail
As Thaylar, brave of heart set out to explore
Peering over the edge of the trail
His death he could see before his eyes
Turning back to labor and trudge
All in frustration Ta'Illistim."
Vistie's easy melody loiters through the measures, washing over your senses like the waves of a gentle sea.
Vistie sings:
"So many have journeyed some to and fro often
All in search of adventure the thrill seekers
they be
Magic and mystery drew them on to seek
The lore and rich history of the land and
To discover the riches, lavender shimmarglin
sapphires
All in search of Ta'Illistim
Ta'Illistim
All in search of Ta'Illistim
Ta'Illistim."
With a final slow chord, Vistie allows the notes to hang in the air for a time before their final demise into silence.
Vistie smiles with sparkling eyes fixed on the beauty of the lavender shimmarglin sapphire resting in the palm of her hand and bends extending her palm sweeping it with a flourish before your very eyes to everyone's wonder
Vistie smiles and tucks her lute under her arm and bows
Juspera removes a wide rack of seven-tined antlers from in her imflass
mail bodice.
Juspera raises her seven-tined antlers skyward!
You peer quizzically at Juspera.
Juspera says, "From Ta'Illistim, of cours.e"
Juspera put a wide rack of seven-tined antlers in her imflass mail
bodice.
Ylena glances at Juspera.
Ylena says, "You look lumpy, dear."
Juspera pokes her finger at a silk-lined imflass mail bodice.
Ylena says, "Push 'em to the left."
Juspera says, "It's a challenge."
Juspera just tried to pull a silk-lined imflass mail bodice.
Danay says, "Hugging would be painful I would think."
Dremerie recites:
"If these two are any indication of what to expect this week...
We're in for a treat!"
Dremerie recites:
"And now...
For the first doorprize drawing of the evening."
Chastity asks, "we get a door?"
Quivalin says, "I Could use a new door..."
Juspera waggles her fingers at some double doors.
Jacinto says, "I'd love a door."
(I think commentary of this nature started up every single time there was a doorprize drawing.)
(Dremerie covers her eyes with one hand as she spins and spins and spins... then points to....)
Dremerie recites:
"Windfare!!"
You see Windfare La'Sharra the Sylvankind.
She appears to be in her 30's, has very long black hair, blue eyes,
and fair skin.
She is in good shape.
She is wearing a crystal amulet, some white leather boots, a white
leather pouch, some frosty
white leather, a reinforced shield, a white leather sheath, a small
rose, a filigreed gold and ruby
ring, a teardrop diamond promise ring, a sapphire cabochon inset circlet,
an ice blue silk-lined
cloak, a pair of etched ruby earrings, and a rune-etched ruby bracelet.
(Dagor drops score sheets all over)
(I’m sure Mystra had something to do with this.)
Dremerie removes a silver etched kaleidoscope from in her velvet cloak.
(Dagor grabs up sheets)
(Tanager takes a brief horrified look at Dagor and then looks anywhere
but at the score sheets.)
Dremerie offers Windfare a silver etched kaleidoscope.
Mystra just tried to pull a garter of dainty wine-red rosebuds.
Dagor stares at Mystra.
(Definitely Mystra’s fault. This, too, went on all three evenings. It’s a miracle Dagor could add... though there may be some convinced he couldn’t. Judging was very very close.)
Dremerie recites:
"All doorprizes are donations from House members and others that love the Fest."
Windfare accepts Dremerie's etched kaleidoscope.
