When China declared Falon-Gong an evil-cult, several thousand members were rounded up almost overnight. If you were a policeman in China, would you just carry out the order to arrest ? (In the West, a person is innocent until proven guilty, and the accused has a chance to defend himself/herself in court.)
If you were a serviceman in USA, and the Government put all the blame on Bin Laden (and hence Afghanistan) for Sept-11, and ordered you to kill the Al-Quaeda members, would you obey the order ?
Many people would side with others, especially in dangerous situations, in order to save their lifes. So the policemen in China sided with the Government, and so are the USA military men. Not only so, many Nazi soldiers, after WWII, during the Nuremburg trial, said that they were just carrying out orders when slaying the Jews.

After Jesus was killed, resurrected, and went back to Heaven, the disciples continued to preach in Jerusalem. The elders, scribes, Pharisees ordered Peter not to preach, or else would be put into prison. What was Peter's answer to those in authority ?

After Sept-11, the world is entering into a dangerous phase, the Secret Alliance is firmly in power. And as the moral of the world is getting worse and worse (divorce rate 50%, Sodomy, Lesbian practiced citywide), LORD's judgement day would not be delayed. Natural disasters, wars, famines, pestilences, ... are the tools LORD would usually use to execute His judgement. In those dangerous times when your life is in danger, on which side will you be ?
Will you be on the side of the Government, in all circumstances, even though you know it is really the "Shadow Government" -- those of the Secret Alliance, that is in power ? Would you be on the resistance side, should there be resistance against the Governments and Law and Order are not maintained ? Would you be on the lawless side, should someone seized the opportunity of lawlessness to promote his own power and interests ?
One day we will face LORD, and we will have to give account of all we do in this life. Those who are righteous and live a life like Jesus will be resurrected to a New Heaven and New Earth. Those who are polluted, cowardly, .... will suffer a Second Death.
LORD taught the Israelites to cleave to Him like a waistcloth, and prophet Mica taught the Israelites to walk humble with LORD.

LORD, as creator of Heaven and Earth, is of immense power. LORD is able to count all the molecules, atoms on Earth, in the sun, moon, planets, the galaxies, ... the whole Universe combined ! Moreover, as LORD's name implies : "merciful, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, abounding in faithfulness, forgiving, jealous against iniquity". LORD will forever be merciful to us, if we are firm in keeping His Laws and Commandments. David put his whole trust on LORD even though King Saul was after his life.
Many righteous men put their trust in LORD. Daniel's three friends would disobey King Nebuchadnezzar's order to worship idols even when Nebuchadnezzar threatened to burn them in fire, and LORD saved them from the fire [Daniel 3]. Daniel would not obey King Darius' order of not praying to LORD, and LORD saved him from the lions [Daniel 6]. Esther and Mordecai did what was right at that time even the situation was very dangerous [Esther].
These righteous men/women all left us good examples, that they clinged to LORD even onto death. Therefore let us cling to LORD, cleave to LORD like a waistcloth, and we stand only on the side of LORD. And we obey the authority only up to the point that it is not in conflict with the Laws of GOD.
