Our Father who are in heaven, Hallowed by they name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. [Mt 6:9-13] |
Daniel prayed 3 times a day, kneeling down,
[Daniel 6:10]When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem; and he got down upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his GOD, as he had done previously. |
I have been a Christian since 1966, and I find Lord's prayer especially useful. I also kneel down to pray, as a reminder that I was created out of dust by LORD.
Our Father who are in heaven, Hallowed by they name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. |
Revere the name of LORD, do His will, and also do our duty as a Christian, trying to save the souls of our fellow people, and telling them about the Laws and Commandments of LORD,Jesus : "Think not that I have come to abolish the law and the prophets; I have come not to abolish them but to fulfil them. For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." [Mt 5:17-20]
Give us this day our daily bread; |
Jesus : "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or "What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day." [Mt 6:25-34]
And forgive us our debts, As we also have forgiven our debtors; |
Forgiving is an attitude that every Christian should learn,Jesus : "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." [Mt 6:14-15]
(see also [Matthew 18])
And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. |
The present day world is a dangerous world - full of temptations.
Never under-estimate the power of temptation.
Also we should not let any evil to lodge in our heart, but keep our heart pure as a child.
Therefore we pray to LORD to help and deliver us from temptation and evil everyday.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. |
A computer has hardware and software. All these are designed and created by men. A Pentium computer should not exult over a 486 computer, which should not exult over a 386 computer.
Similarly, our "hardware" and "software" are designed and created by LORD. Therefore let us not be proud, nor conceited, but ascribe everything to our Creator, and humble as a child.
