OTHER BIBLE TEACHINGS 1
(In addition to Matthew, Chapters 5 to 7)
- You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one
another. (Lev 19:11)
therefore love truth and peace. (Zec 8:19)
Let what you say be simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything more
than this comes from evil. (Mt 5:37)
- Does evil befall a city, unless the LORD has done it.
(Amos 3:6)
You shall not revile GOD (=LORD), nor curse a ruler of
your people. (Ex 22:28) (Note: In these 20 years, there
are a lot of lawlessness and calamities in many places,
it it because we have sinned against the LORD. Proper way
is : repent, endure patiently, return to LORD; NOT to
join gangs to resist and fight. Obeying orders from men
and not our conscience, doing secret work such as spying,
are not approved by LORD.)
- LORD to Adam and Eve in Eden garden: "... but of the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat,
for in the day you eat of it you shall die."
"neither shall you touch it, lest you die."
(Gen 2:17,3:3)
(Note: When we ponder what to do, our criteria is: is it
right in the sight of LORD, or wrong? NOT: is it good to
us, or evil to us?)
And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the
officials, and subverts the cause of those who are in the
right. (Ex 23:8)
- And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill
the soul; rather fear him who can destroy both soul and
body in hell. (Mt 10:28) (Note: fear GOD)

arm, whose heart turns away from the LORD,... Blessed is
the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
(Jer 17:5-8)
- GOD to Abraham, "This is my convenant, which you
shall keep, between me and you and your descendants after
you: Every male among you shall circumcize his fleshy
passions." (Gen 17:9-10)
(Note: Food is fuel of the body only; the way of husband
and wife is for birth of children.) (Gen 38; 19:30-38)
- He who loves father or mother more than me (refer to
Jesus) is not worthy of me;.... ; and he who does not
take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. (Mt
10:37-39)
If he does not .... hate even his own life, he cannot be
my disciple.... So therefore, whoever of you does not
renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke
14:26-33)
But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has
committed and keeps all my (Note: refers to LORD) statutes and
does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not
die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be
remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done
he shall live. (Eze 18:21-22)
