ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

  1. Do you know how many books a law student has to read?
Do you know how many volumes would be needed to write down all the law of a country?

  2. What are the "clauses" and small prints in legal documents? What do you think is the main defect of present-day legislation that produces so many clauses?

  3. How much money would we have to spend to get justice? How long would we have to wait for a trial?

  4. LORD said that anyone who breaks the law high-handedly will be put to death. Modern day society abolishes the death penalty. Can you imagine a society where death penalty is boldly carried out against those who sin high-handedly; and another, which in the disguise of 'mercy', let them live.

  5. Some Americans want gun control, is that the correct way towards murderer? (Note: please read Law of God on matter of murder or disfigurement)

  6. Why does LORD tell us to make tassels, and even Lord Jesus wore tassels (Num 15:37-40). Why is it so important to keep commandments and to observe the Laws carefully? What does 'sense of Law' mean?
During the Cultural Revolution in China, the Leninists succeeded in using young students to cause trememdous damage to society. What was lacking in those young students? (There are many similarities between youth in China, and youth in Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Korea. Why are they easily misled by crafty men?)

  7. Moses said that "No Ammonite or Moabite shall enter the assemly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none belonging to them shall enter the assembly of the LORD for ever;..." (Note: Ammonites and Moabites are the descendants of the 2 daughters of Lot (Gen.19:30-38). The daughters of Moab beguiled the Israelites with sex, when Balaam fought against the Israelites. Why did the girls consent to having sex with the Israelites? . What were they thinking when they did that, did they think they were doing the correct things to their enemy?(Num. 25:1)

  8. What is the difference between "Rule by law" and "Rule of Law"?

  9. Who may be judges? Does LORD prohibit people other than Levites/priests to be judges? Would retiring elders be judges and thus are readily available?
Nowadays many old people spend the rest of their lives in homes for the elderly where they could never be happy. Many of them have tremendous experience. Do you think they can be judges?

  10. How should dealth penalty be carried out? Shot? Lethal injection? Hanging? Electric chair? What is LORD's procedure, and why LORD prescribed it this way?

  11. Many people are victims of violence, and even been murdered brutally. Yet the offenders, on many cases, have only to stay in prison for a few years. Do you think it fair towards the victims? (A girl whose brother was murdered commented when she learned that the murderer had been sentenced to several years in prison, "He will be free after several years, but my brother will not come back to me".)

  12. What does "legalism" mean?

  13. What is the origin of the legal system of Britain, USA,...?

Woe to those who decree iniquitous decrees, and the writers who keep writing oppression, to turn aside the needy from justice and to rob the poor of my people of their right, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! (Is 10:1-3)

(LORD's comment on the ancient Israelites)
How can you say, 'We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us?' But, behold the false pen of the scribes has made it into a lie. (Jer 8:8)

Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for God made man in his own image. (Gen 9:6)
You shall not thus pollute the land in which you live; for blood pollutes the land, and no expiation can be made for the land, for the blood that is shed in it, except by the blood of him who shed it. (Num 35:33)

(NOTE: LORD taught us His Law by teaching us PRINCIPLES OF JUSTICE. e.g. Stealing a car is not mentioned by LORD, as car was not invented then. But one familiar with LORD's Law should find no difficulty in judging cases like it.
Anyone may be judges. For example, Ehud, Deborah, Gideon, Jephthah were neither Levites nor priests, yet people approached them for judgement (Judges). Only for difficult cases, do they have to resort to help from a Priest.

Moses' father-in-law said to Moses: "..Moreover choose able men from all the people, such as fear God, men who are trustworthy and who hate a bribe; and place such men over the people as rulers of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens. And let them judge the people at all times; every great matter they shall bring to you, but any small matter they shall decide themselves...." (Ex. 18:21-23).(NOTE: Many people have a sense of service, they want to serve their neighbors. Ruler of ten etc. should be interpreted as voluntary servant to ten.)

On putting one to death, the witnesses lay their hands on offender's head, and all congregation stone him to death (Lev 24:14). In this way, we show ourself responsible to putting that person to death.

Legal fee is nil. Totally free. And a trial may end in a few minutes.
