Leninists in China believe in "authority comes from
guns". Is this true in China, North Korea, Burma,
Communist Cambodia, Chile,....?
Germany was a democratic country before the 2nd World
War, but Hilter was able to rise to power. Hitler had a
secret army. Do you think that politicians,
entrepreneurs, manufacturers, workers, ... or even those
in the police force or judiciary was able to resist such
a secret army?
History has shown many many times that the commander in
chief of the army can take over power. Is there a way to
prevent such?
In Ancient Israel, Joab was commander in chief to King
David. Joab killed 2 other commanders in chief, Abner and
Amasa (2 Sam 3, 20). Is the system at fault or the person
is at fault? (Deut. 20)
In America, there is no military take-over. Is it because
(a) there is no bad-guy in the military or intelligence
that wish to take over (b) the communication system,
including news medium, is superb in USA (c) the
democractic system and the legal system (d) the wisdom
of the forefathers of American to allow the people to
possess arms to defend their family and to resist
tyranny, and put it into their Constitution (e) or
others...
When Babylonians invaded ancient Israel, LORD told the
Israelites to surrender to the Babylonians, and served
them for 70 years (see Jeremiah). Those who did not
surrender will be punished by LORD. When shall a nation
take up arms to resist, and when shall it surrender?
Under LORD's system, employment is usually contract
employment for 6 years, (or for life, see Ex. 21. Is it a
better system than the Japanese 'employment for life' or
the American 'pair of hand'?). Hence it is possible for
am employer to become really powerful and big. Also,
under LORD's system, the land will be divided into
portions (e.g. China Town, Japan Town, India Town,
American Town, ...), what if a certain portion
accommodate evil people and impose its will on others by
force? (Judges 19,20,21)
Many countries train their soldiers harshly. In the end,
would the soldiers become godless/brutal people, or
people of high quality? In ancient Israel, king David as
well as the commanders who joined him were mighty men in
war (2 Sam 23), why were they so? What is the meaning of
the saying 'The battle belongs to the LORD.'
When David went to war, he left the women and children
behind. When he and his men came back, he found them all
captured. (1 Sam. 30) Should we teach the women and
children how to defend themselves when the men are out?
Would they be so rash and kill innocent people (shed the
blood of the innocent) or cause trouble?
