(This letter is written for those Native Americans who have read my first letter and have read The Book of Mormon (abbreviated as BOM) and are convinced (or partly convinced) that their forefathers came from Israel.)
Dear Friend,
In BOM there probably are many things you do not understand. Kindly look at the picture below.

Your father, Lehi, was of the lineage of Joseph. Joseph was one of the sons of Jacob (Jacob had another name, Israel). Jacob (or Israel) had twelve sons, and they were :
- Reuben
- Simeon
- Levi
- Judah
- Dan
- Naphtali
- Gad
- Asher
- Issachar
- Zebulun
- Joseph (<-- your fathers came from Joseph)
- Benjamin
And Jacob was the son of Issac, who was the son of Abraham.
Abraham was a very god-fearing and righteous man. Because of his godliness, LORD GOD blessed him and promised him that his descendants would be many,

You can find the whole history of Israel in the Bible, therefore I will not discuss it in detail, but give a very short account.
Jacob and his twelve sons moved to sojourn in Egypt, because there was a famine in Canaan, but food was available in Egypt. The Israelites sojourned there 430 years.
Led by Moses, they left Egypt and entered Canaan and established a kingdom. It was during this "Exodus" that LORD GOD gave them Laws and Commandments and told them about his political system.
LORD's political system was a system without king. But after some times, the Israelites asked for a king, and LORD gave them King Saul. After King Saul came King David, and after King David came King Solomon.
King Solomon pursued after sex, got many concubines, and following his concubines, worshipped demons. Therefore LORD split the Israelite kingdom into two, the southern part and the northern part, and gave the northern part to King Jeroboam.
After many years, the northern part was invaded by the King of Assyria. The tribes that lived there -- Reuben, Simeon, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph -- were dispersed throughout the world. Where they had gone is still a mystery, and we have practically no information about them. (we called them "LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL".)
The southern part of Israel, which comprised Judah, Benjamin (and also some of the people of the other tribes who succeeded to escape there) remained a little longer. Some years later, they were invaded by King Nebuchadnezzar, who burned Jerusalem, killed most of its inhabitants, and carried away those who surrendered to him to Babylon.
Your father Lehi left just a little time before Jerusalem was invaded by Nebuchadnezzar.
After King Nebuchadnezzar died, his son, King Belshazzar, succeeded him. But his kingdom was soon invaded and destroyed by King Darius.
After many years, during the realm of King Cyrus, he allowed the captured Israelites to return to Israel and to re-build their kingdom there. The people who returned were mainly of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin, and some Levities.
Many years later, Jesus was born in the tribe of Judah. Jesus lived 33 years, and was killed by the people of Jerusalem, who delivered him onto the Roman Governor to be nailed to a cross. But he was resurrected by LORD Almighty. His disciples saw him after the resurrection, and even the Mayans (Nephites) saw him.
Who was this Jesus ? JESUS WAS THE GREAT SPIRIT IN HUMAN FORM. THE GREAT SPIRIT CREATED A DUPLICATE (CLONE) OF HIMSELF, AND SENT HIM DOWN ONTO EARTH, AND THAT DUPLICATE WAS JESUS. THEREFORE

After that, people compiled the Bible, which consists of the records/prophet-books kept by the Jews (Jews ~= Judah/Benjamin/Levi), books written by Jesus' disciples (the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, John), letters by Jesus' believers, ... and they become the Bible of today.
Therefore, if you wish to know Abraham, Jacob, Joseph, .... you must read the Bible. Some Bibles are expensive, but the Bibles published by Bible Societies are very affordable. Also, you can read the Bible online, or download it, but the version is usually King James' version (published in 1600's, very hard to read, out-dated English). I suggest the "America (Revised) Standard Version".
After you have read the whole Bible, then re-read BOM, and you will understand much better then.
May LORD help you and guide you in this effort.
