Distance covered : approximately 3 miles from Wilkins
Peak to drop to Brent
& Mikes' trail
The Ridgeline Trail, besides being the highest
point in the area, is one
of the most strenuous and has some tricky advanced -
level drops making
hiking necessary on the sandy ascents on the ridge. This
trail, for the most
part, is single track mingled with 4 wheel jeep and ATV.
Start just below
the summit of Wilkins Peak off the main road to your
right and head down the
ridgeline on the two-track . After the first climb there
are some seriously
challenging drops followed by climbs to the last nasty
drop to connect with
the Brent & Mikes' trail. Follow either the Brent
& Mikes' trail or continue
across the trail to the last set of drops to the main
dirt road past the red
archery barn and across the FMC bridge into town.
