Directions: Head up (West) Riverview Drive and
park at the end of the pavement on the Southside of the street. You start
here and head south up Telephone Canyon. The popularity of the canyon is
evident with ATV and motorcycle trails everywhere. Stay on the main road
for a little over a mile until the canyon widens and the road heads West
for a bit. Look for a small canyon on your right (North) just left of the
cliffs with birds nesting ( evident of the white allover the rocks). You
will see a well defined ATV trail heading up the left side of the canyon.
This is the beginning of your climb. Follow the ATV trail, staying to the
right fork until it turns sharply uphill, the beginning of the single track.
The trail is light in places here but defined. When you climb North to
the old jeep trail turn left (West) and head uphill for a couple hundred
feet then look for the a single track again on your right (North). This
is the beginning of the challenge! Watch your balance climbing over and
through the rocks and hang on down the switchbacks through a mixture of
rock ledges, cactus & sagebrush and bones along the path. Drop through
whoops and ravines to the jeep trail & right onto the Union Pacific
access road then East back to Riverview Drive.
