31. Jacob⁶ Pickering (William⁵, Samuel⁴, Jonathan³, John², John¹) was born in Frederick County, Virginia 10 December 1756. Jacob died 28 February 1832 in Flushing, Belmont, Ohio, at 75 years of age.

He married twice. He married Mary Dillon 1 June 1778. Mary was born in Bucks County, Pennsylvania about 1757. He married Lydia Adams in Frederick County, Virginia, 10 December 1778. Lydia was born in Frederick County, Virginia 1768. Lydia was the daughter of John Adams and Hannah unknown. Lydia died 24 February 1833 in Flushing, Belmont, Ohio, at 64 years of age. 2 Aug 1779 he was disowned from the Quaker Church for having married contrary to church discipline. 3 Jan 1785 he was reinstated. His fatherWilliam died and left him 1/2 of a tract of land at Brush Creek.

child 40 i. William⁷ Pickering was born in Frederick County, Virginia 28 December 1778.

child 41 ii. Sarah Pickering was born in Frederick County, Virginia 30 March 1790. She married William Branson 22 June 1815. (See William Branson for the continuation of this line.)

child + 42 iii. Abel Pickering was born 10 June 1792.

child + 43 iv. Joseph Pickering was born 1 May 1795.

child 44 v. Rhoda Pickering was born in Frederick County, Virginia 30 March 1798. She married Jacob Deselms in Belmont County, Ohio, 27 December 1815.

child 45 vi. Hannah Pickering was born in Frederick County, Virginia 5 July 1800.

child 46 vii. Mary Pickering was born in Frederick County, Virginia 19 May 1803. She married Richard Brown in Belmont County, Ohio, 10 August 1820.

child 47 viii. Rachel Pickering was born in Belmont County, Ohio 14 February 1806. She married John Fowler in Belmont County, Ohio, 10 November 1825.

child + 48 ix. Hiram Pickering was born 16 January 1809.

child 49 x. Lydia Pickering was born 13 June 1811. She married Charles Michaner in Guernsey County, Ohio, 1 November 1837.

child 50 xi. Jacob Pickering was born in Belmont County, Ohio 3 September 1815. Jacob died 16 March 1840 at 24 years of age.
