1. William¹ Branson was born before 22 June 1815, the first event for which there is a recorded date.

He married Sarah Pickering 22 June 1815. Sarah was born in Frederick County, Virginia 30 March 1790. Sarah was the daughter of Jacob Pickering and Lydia Adams.

William Branson and Sarah Pickering had the following family:

child 2 i. Elisha² Branson was born in Ohio 7 May 1823. Elisha died 21 September 1910 in Wayne County, Indiana, at 87 years of age. He married Mary Ellen Hinshaw 18 March 1846.
