This option is applied for brass and other brass alloys that are usually
silver or gold-plated (those alloys are also engraved chemically for a
precise outcome). Negative proof plaques are characterized by a matte
ground and beautifully polished extruded parts, they are more expensive
to produce than sunken designs and are recommended if you are looking
for a very high quality finishing. Those plaques are not colored as the
design elements are extruded from the ground, not to mention also that
we do not want to cover the rich gold-plated parts that we rather want
exposed.

Sandblasting is used for glass and plexiglass in the majority of the
cases; however it can also be used for materials having a brilliant surface
such as polished aluminum and brass sheets. This method gives an appealing
look with its contrasted matte and polished areas.
Sandblasting is a fast and affordable method to transfer a design. In
this case the design elements will be highlighted from the ground by a
matte surface. The constraint for using this design transfer method is
that very small details (less than 5 mm) such as small characters or small
design elements can lack the detail that they need. Please also note that
in this case the design cannot have any colors. Sandblasting is usually
used to fill large design areas rather than to draw outlines.

Plexiglass engraving creates a beautiful effect; this time around the design will be rendered very precisely using a digital engraver. This method is used to create very precise engravings of a design outline. Engraving plexiglass plaques takes more time than sandblasting and is more expensive to produce.
The design will be transferred to the material using thermal impression; this method allows a very loyal and neat color impression of the design. It is ideal if you want to implement a photograph in your plaque. Thermal transfer could be used on almost all kinds of materials and is the fastest way to transfer a design into a plaque, so if you are short on time, have a low budget and require a high volume of plaques this option will help you a lot.

Our expertise allows us to create plaques and shields using a combination of different materials and design transfer methods. For instance we can combine a gold-plated engraved plaque with a sand blasted glass plate; this combination gives the award a highly artistic appearance. Many other combinations can be reached.
