What?When?Where?Who?Why?How? GalLERyaImprOmPtumm
When Prof. La Vallee was Assistant Director of the Chapel Art Center, Saint Anselm College, she instituted Gallery Impromptu which provided space and time to show the works of professional artists as well as students and amateurs. Gallery Impromptu also featured other types of exhibitions such as The Genealogy Project which included the family histories of Saint Anselm College students, staff, and faculty. Gallery Impromptu is being re-inaugurated as a virtual space to continue where the real-space gallery
left off.

PhotoShop helped Sean make this quiet digital print
of a woman. He began with an appropriated sculptural
image of the Virgin Mary by Michelangelo and
worked with transparencies to create the subtle layering.

For this digital image, Michelle made a grid by repeating an
appropriated image of a Michelangelo sculpture. She varied the
textures, colors and values and created other effects using
PhotoShop 6.0.
